What is Learniva?

We are an education platform that allows you to discover and engage tutors and book a spot in group enrichment classes delivered by tutors and various enrichment centres.

What kind of lessons do you offer?

Tutors on Learniva get to choose what they want to teach, and all lessons are conducted in person! You can engage a tutor through us by requesting or shortlisting one. Your child can take classes from tuition, arts, languages, music and sports etc. If you do not find your desired field of courses or subjects to attend on our website, drop us an email at We are always on the lookout to expand our range of lessons.

For Students/Parents

How do I request for a tutor?

To request for a tutor, you can fill in the application form HERE for our team of coordinators to match a tutor for you. Alternatively, you can also click on “View Tutors” to search for a desired tutor before adding them to your shortlist. You can then proceed by submitting the shortlist to us directly. We will call and inform you if a tutor has been found or if we require more information. We will then arrange a date and time for your first lesson.

How long do i have to wait before I get a tutor after submitting my application form?

We treat every customer and every job with the same dedication and urgency. Give us between 24- 36 hours and we will match you with a tutor based on your requirements.

How will I know whether the tutor’s qualifications are genuine?

Students can request for the authentication of the selected tutor's credentials upon engagement. Our tutors are required to produce physical copies of their certification on the first lesson for you to verify. Students should highlight and inform the agency should the tutor not do so on the first day of tuition.

What do I do if I am unsatisfied with the Tutor?

Do inform your coordinator in-charge should you decide to terminate the assignment. If you do not wish to continue with that particular tutor after the first lesson, you only need to pay for that lesson to the agency and we will settle it for you with the tutor. We will arrange a replacement tutor for you.

Are there additional charges or hidden charges when you find a tutor through Learniva?

Not at all, our services are free for students and parents as we charge (50%) fifty percent of the first month's tuition fee as commission from tutors. Customers do not have to pay any charges. We will collect the payment directly (2 weeks of fees) from parents and it will be deducted from the total tuition fee for the first month. For example, once a week lesson, payment cycle is once every 4 lessons. For twice a week lessons, payment cycle is once every 8 lessons. This applies only to the first month, after which, any arrangements or fees, will be solely between the parent and the tutor.

Who are the class providers on Learniva?

We have a wide variety of providers on Learniva, and they can be separated into two categories – private tutors and organizations such as schools, centres and studios. They share the same passion in providing you with the skills and knowledge through their mentoring and coaching. Many of them are professional trainers and instructors who are qualified in providing a quality and purposeful education in your journey of learning.

Why should I engage a tutor through Learniva?

We gather and curate the most qualified tutors and education centres in Singapore in an all-in-one avenue for you to find out all you need to know about tuition and compare them with others. How do I communicate with a tutor or education centre on Learniva?

Direct communication is only allowed if the tutor or education centre is subscribed to Learniva Pro. We have a messaging function on the site and these tutors or centres are also allowed to publish their contact information. If the contact information of tutor or education centre that you are interested in isn’t published, let us know and we can do the matching arrangement for you.

For Tutors

Do I have to pay to register for a tutor account or to create a class in Learniva?

Registration and listing your services on Learniva is free-of-charge, and there will be no fees charged on creating a tutor account with us. We will charge you 50% of the first month’s fee as agency commission upon a successful referral.

Who can sign up to be a tutor?

✔ You need to be a Singaporean, Permanent Resident or a Foreigner holding student passes, S-Pass, work permit, employment pass, dependent Pass. Strictly no social visa.
✔ You must be above the age of 18 in order to qualify to be our Tutor.
✔ You need to have a minimum academic qualification of an O Levels certificate or equivalent and show good results in the subjects that you wish to teach.
✔ You must NOT provide false declaration of educational or profession qualifications. Any forms of masquerading as a tutor will also be blacklisted and removed from our system.
✔ Tutors must take their tuition assignments seriously. They should arrive punctually or inform their customer in good time if they have to postpone the lesson or if they are going to be late.
✔All tutors are to display pleasant dispositions and good personalities.

What if I can’t make it for a tuition assignment’s very first lesson?

It is the tutor’s responsibility to inform your tuition coordinator in-charge at least 2 days in advance. Please provide a valid reason, such as a medical certificate, for your inability to conduct the first lesson. The first impression counts and we strongly recommend all our tutors to be punctual for their first lessons.

How do I receive tuition assignments from Learniva?

You will need to first have an existing tutor account with Learniva for us to provide you with tuition jobs. You can also follow us here.

We will contact you either via phone or email to notify you of a tuition assignment for you to apply and indicate interest in.

How is your commission like and how do I make payment?

Our agency's commission is calculated based on the following. If tuition frequency is:

1 lesson/week - 50% of the agency's commission is based on the first 4 lessons' fees
2 lessons/week - 50% of the agency's commission is based on the first 8 lessons' fees
3 lessons/week - 50% of the agency's commission is based on the first 12 lessons' fees
4 lessons/week - 50% of the agency's commission is based on the first 16 lessons' fees
5 lessons/week - 50% of the agency's commission is based on the first 20 lessons' fees

Tutor and student are required to abide to the tuition frequency. If there is any changes to the frequency, please inform us immediately, otherwise tutor will be charged base on the original agreed frequency.

We will collect our fees from the client directly upon completion of each assignment.

What happens if the client decides to terminate the assignment before fulfilling one month’s worth of lessons?

If the tuition is terminated before the full tuition cycle is completed, 50% of the agency's commission will still be levied on the number of completed lessons. For instance, if the tutor has completed 2 lessons only, our agency commission will be based on 50% of the 2 lessons completed.

How do I close my tutoring account with Learniva?

To stop receiving job SMSes from us, you can simply log in to your profile, and set your teaching status as Unavailable, alternatively you may write in to us at in requesting for closing your account temporarily or permanently.

Why should I use Learniva?

There are probably hundreds of reasons why you should use Learniva, but we will talk about just 3.

How should I price my services?

You should compare the prices set by other tutors like yourself on the same subject matter and credentials as well as your years’ of experience. While we understand that no two tutors are alike (everyone of you is unique!), try to keep your charges affordable and attractive to increase enrolment.

How can a parent or student reach out to me directly?

You can publish your contact information to allow potential customers to reach out to you directly either via phone or email. This service is only provided to tutors and centres who subscribe to Learniva Pro. Learniva Pro is a monthly subscription which allows customers to contact you directly. There will be no commission for jobs taken directly.
